Common Nicknames: Malachi And Maltechi

Description

The Malchi is a small crossbreed of the Maltese and Chihuahua. The breed is known for being affectionate, gentle, independent, loving, loyal and even protective despite its diminutive stature. The most common colors for Malchis are black, brown, cream and white. The Malchi needs regular exercise and they commonly participate in agility and competitive obedience. This breed is intelligent and exceptionally sharp. Training is reportedly very easy with this breed and they make wonderful companion pets.

Disposition

  • This breed does require daily exercise but is also well suited for apartment living.
  • Malchi are good with kids and other animals; however, they are not very good with really young children because if they perceive playing (small dog syndrome) as a threat they could bite. They are very small so their instinct is to protect themselves.
  • The Malchi is an ideal family pet and desires lots of love and affection.
