Description
The Pekachon, sometimes called a Frise Pekingese or spelled Peke-A-Chon, is a cross between the Bichon Frise and the Pekingese breeds. Common coat colors of the Pekachon are black, gold, cream, white, sable, and variations of these. Their coat is also long, thick, soft, and hypoallergenic; which makes them easier to groom. Temperament of Pekachon Puppies
An intelligent and affectionate dog, the Pekachon loves to cuddle with their owners. They are best suited to people with older children as the Pekingese side does not do well with very small children and may nip if provoked, however, would learn to adapt if socialized and trained puppyhood. Being affectionate as they are, they also wouldn’t enjoy being left alone for long periods of time.
Care
Even though the Pekachon doesn’t shed much, their coat should be brushed daily to prevent matting and trimmed every few weeks. Depending on which parent’s traits they inherit, they may or may not be hypoallergenic because the Bichon Frise is hypoallergenic, but the Pekingese is not.
