Weight: 15–25 pounds
The Poochon, also known as Bich-poo, Bichdoodle, Bichoodle, Bichon-Poo and Bichondoodle, is a cross between the Bichon Frise and the Poodle. These dogs typically have almond-shaped eyes, somewhat long ears hanging around its head and a short, round muzzle similar to the Bichon Frise. Poochons typically have non-shedding wooly coat and come in various colors including white, cream, black, blue, and apricot.
Poochon personalities are commonly cheerful and playful. They are also known to be highly intelligent and tolerant of other animals. Often, these dogs are good-natured, loyal to their family, and known to be social and active.
Not much maintenance will be required of the Poochon’s fur, as they have very little hair loss, but regular brushing will benefit the medium to long curly hair to maintain a smooth coat. Bathe them as needed. Keep an eye out for ear infections and brush their teeth a few times weekly to avoid tooth decay.
They do not need rigorous exercise but this moderately active breed will benefit from a regular walk and play time. Poochons can be suitable for apartments with proper training and attention.
