Also known as a Schnerrier or Snorkie, the Schnorkie is a cross between the Miniature Schnauzer and the Yorkshire Terrier. It has black button eyes, a black nose, small floppy ears, covered with long satin hair. Its coat can come in various colors including white, black, black and tan, gray, and brown.
The Schnorkie is loyal, sociable, intelligent, playful, and sometimes obstinate. Due to their agreeable nature, this breed does well with children and other pets.
Care and Grooming
The Schnorkie has a long and silky coat, so brushing about 2-3 times a week should help keep their coat fluffy. As with other breeds, remember to also bathe them with vet-recommended shampoos, clip their nails, and brush their teeth to keep them healthy.
Schnorkies enjoy going out for walks and playing just like most breeds, but due to their size, a smaller space inside the owner’s home should be enough to exercise.
Although the Schnorkie can sometimes be stubborn, they are intelligent and easy to train. To make the training easy and avoid any behavioral issues later in life, teach commands, train, and socialize your Schnorkie while still a puppy.
